Philip has sat on Shipston Town Council since May 2008, where he is Chairman of the Planning working group. He has lived in Shipston since 2005, and currently lives in Signal Road.
By profession, Philip is a qualified nurse and currently works as an Acting Matron at a busy community hospital in Gloucestershire, having previously worked in Middlesex, Surrey and Leicester.
He is married to Rachel, the Practice Manager at the Medical Centre.
He is particularly interested in green issues, and is a member of Transition Shipston and Surrounding Communities. As a keen photographer Philip also sits on the executive of Shipston Community Arts, having previously been its Chairman. Currently Philip is a Trustee of the Mayo Road Charity land.
He served on Stratford District Council between 2010 & 2011 as a Liberal Democrat (of whom he is no longer a member).
He has recently become addicted to golf, and supports a wide variety of sports teams – particularly Leicester City FC, Somerset CCC and Redruth RFC. He’d be delighted to explain why over a pint – preferably real ale (as he is a member of CAMRA).
